The Strangest Food
The strangest food is from Taiwan. Called "pig blood cake," the cake looks like this. It is made with duck blood (You may have to buy it in a Chinese market) and rice and peanut powder too. It is soft, tasty and delicious. Before you eat, steam to warm and dip with peanut powderand a little spicy sauce.
You can buy it easily on a cold day on the street, and it is cheap; it will only cost you $1.50 each. Oh, it comes with a wood stick so it's easy to hold and eat (like an ice cream bar).
Why is it called pig blood cake? I think many people thought pig blood was easy to have. I'm not sure.
